Candle 101

Tips to help you get the most out of your candles:

  • Trim your wick to 1/4” before each lighting to ensure safe burning.

  • Tilt your candle while lighting; to allow a full flame to travel across the wick.

  • Recommended burn time is 3-4 hours, or long enough to allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the jar (before extinguishing).

Why coconut- soy wax?

Who knew there was more than one type of candle wax? Not I! I honestly thought all candles were made with the same wax, but once I researched and seen all the options, I knew that I wanted to pick the cleanest of them all. Also, a major reason I chose to work with coconut soy wax, is because this wax allows for a heavy fragrance load, which is key in all of my candles. Overall, coconut soy wax provides a clean, non-toxic, great-smelling candle burning experience.

Why wooden wicks?

When deciding on a wick for my candles, I knew that I wanted something outside of the typical cotton wick, something to make them stand out. I’ve seen wooden wick candles in the store and always loved how they looked, but honestly, it was the crackle for me! Once you light your candle, you’ll 100% understand what I mean. Not only do they create a great ambiance, but they too are non-toxic and burn clean. The soothing scents of the candle mixed with the crackling sound of the wooden wick— perfection!
